Welcome to Gatlinburg

Gatlinburg is an amazing city. Surrounded on three sides by the Great Smoky Mountain’s National Park, it offers stunning natural beauty Ripley's Aquariumonly minutes from a bustling and action-packed downtown. One of the most advantageous features of the city is the Parkway. Almost every attraction, theater and restaurant can be located on this dynamic stretch of road. This makes the entire area very accessible. You can walk, drive or take the cities trolley system to anywhere you desire.

If you are looking to stay in Gatlinburg, it is almost impossible to be disappointed. A wide variety of accommodations are available, all with remarkable views and unforgettable surroundings. You can choose a state of the art, award winning hotel, a quaint country cottage or a cabin on the side of a mountain. All of which offers an unforgettable vacationing experience.

You won’t ever be short on activities while in the area either. Of course you have the National Park, with 520,000 acres of trails and pristine The Trambeauty. But you are also directly in the heart of a busy downtown that features high-tech toys with a laid back lifestyle. Gatlinburg offers the Ripley’s Aquarium, which has gained national  recognition for its amazing design and interactive settings. The city has activities and attractions that rival that of any metropolis in America. From the Guinness World Records Museum and Ripley’s Believe it or Not to the frightening Ghost Walk of Gatlinburg and the Star Cars Museum, you will never be short on things to do.

There are plenty of adventures to be had in Gatlinburg as well. If you enjoy the great outdoors, you can go horseback riding and white water rafting. A short ride on the Aerial Tram to Ober Gatlinburg will bring ice skating, shopping and skiing to your  fingertips. If you are looking for something a little slower paced, walk the Parkway and enjoy shopping all evening long. There’s always enough to fill any vacation.

The Arts and Crafts Community is something else that can’t be missed. Located just outside of downtown Gatlinburg, it consists of an eight and a half-mile loop that boasts the nations largest collection of independent craftsman. Here you can find treasures and one-of-a kind pieces of art. With more than 70 shops and galleries to peruse, the only disadvantage is that you may not see them all.

 Star Cars

On top of all of this, you have access to an abundance of dining choices, entertaining shows and a vibrant nightlife as well. The city features numerous special events throughout the year, including the famous Gatlinburg Craftsmen’s Fair, the Great Smoky Mountain Harvest Festival, the amazing lights of the Winterfest Celebration, the “Fantasy of Lights” Christmas Parade, the Spring Wildflower Festival and even more. No matter the time of year, Gatlinburg always has something new and different to offer.
